7 Easy and natural shampoo & conditioner recipes

Healthy shampoo alternatives

Rosemary

Normal hair shampoo

Ingredients:

– 1 cup distilled water
– 1 cup organic herbal shampoo
– 30 drops of lemon essential oil
– 30 drops of rosemary essential oil

Instructions:

Bring the water to a boil. Remove from heat, add the shampoo and mix it gently. Leave to cool until it reaches room temperature. Add the essential oils and stir. This shampoo can be stored in a glass or plastic container and can be used daily.

Dry/damaged hair shampoo

Ingredients:

– 2 cups of organic liquid soap
– ½ cup of honey
– ¼ cup of virgin olive oil
– 1 teaspoon of liquid vitamin B

Instructions:

Mix the ingredients well until it forms a homogenous paste. Use approximately one tablespoon of shampoo per wash. Massage well into scalp and rinse thoroughly.

Honey

Oily hair shampoo

Ingredients:

– 50 ml herbal liquid soap with organic ingredients
– the juice from one lemon
– 1 teaspoon of honey

Instructions:

Mix the ingredients and use the resulting composition like any other shampoo. You can store it in the fridge and use it within 7 days.

Anti-dandruff shampoo

Ingredients:

– ½ cup of fresh rosemary
– 1 teaspoon borax
– 4 cups of distilled water

Instructions:

Bring the water to a boil. Remove from the heat source, add the rest of the ingredients, and stir well. Leave the composition covered for 2 hours. Filter it and store it in a bottle. The shampoo can be used within 10 days.

Healthy conditioner alternatives

Dry hair conditioner

Ingredients:

– 4 tablespoons of natural, plain yogurt
– 1 egg

Instructions:

Mix the ingredients well and apply them to the hair after shampooing. Massage the scalp, leave it on for 5 minutes, and rinse with warm water.

Apple cider vinegar

Oily hair conditioner

Ingredients:

– 1 lemon
– ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

Peel the lemon, remove the seeds (if any), and crush the pulp into a blender. Add the vinegar and stir well. Apply onto damp, clean hair and massage the scalp. Leave on for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Leave-in conditioner for all hair types

Ingredients:

– 1 cup of fresh rosemary
– 1 cup of fresh mint
– 1 cup of apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

Place the mint and rosemary leaves in a jar and pour the vinegar on them. Close the jar with a lid and let it macerate for 2 weeks. Filter the liquid and use it after shampooing.
